My Bookings Portal
My Bookings is the customer portal on a venue storefront. Returning customers can sign in from the storefront and see their own appointments, forms, treatment photos, payment card status, and profile details for that venue.
TL;DR
- My Bookings lives at
/your-slug/meand is also opened from the My bookings button on the storefront. - Customers sign in with a 15-minute email sign-in link or Google sign-in.
- The portal shows tabs for Appointments, Photos, Forms, Payment, and Profile.
- Reschedule and cancellation actions still rely on the secure manage booking link from the booking confirmation email or SMS.
How customers open My Bookings
Customers open My Bookings from the public storefront or by visiting /your-slug/me.
On the storefront, the top-right My bookings button opens the sign-in panel when the customer is signed out. After sign-in, the same area shows the customer's first name and opens the My Bookings sheet.
If a signed-out customer visits /your-slug/me directly, OpenChair redirects them back to the storefront with the sign-in panel open, then returns them to /your-slug/me after successful sign-in.
Sign-in options
My Bookings supports two customer sign-in paths.
| Sign-in method | What happens |
|---|---|
| Email sign-in link | Customer enters their email address. If that email matches a client at the venue, OpenChair sends a sign-in link that expires in 15 minutes. |
| Google sign-in | Customer signs in with Google and returns to the portal path. |
OpenChair does not reveal whether an email address exists at the venue. The sign-in form shows the same success state after submission to protect customer privacy.
What customers can see
The full portal at /your-slug/me has five tabs.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Appointments | Upcoming and past appointments linked to the signed-in customer's email address. Upcoming appointments show status and any required form state. Past appointments can show Book again when the service is still known. |
| Photos | Read-only treatment photos from the customer's own visits, with area or piece filters when those tags exist. Customers can view and zoom photos but cannot upload, download, edit, or delete them. |
| Forms | Consultation forms linked to upcoming appointments. Pending forms show Complete form or Link sent after a resend. |
| Payment | Saved payment method summary, card update flow, and card removal action when payments are enabled for the venue. |
| Profile | Customer name, mobile number, and email address. Customers can update name and mobile number only. |
The storefront sheet version of My Bookings is a lighter view. It shows profile details, upcoming and past bookings, form-link recovery, and active prepaid packages when the customer has any.
Managing appointments from the portal
The My Bookings portal groups a customer's own bookings in one place, but the single-booking manage link remains the reliable path for booking-specific actions.
| Action | Where it happens |
|---|---|
| View upcoming and past bookings | My Bookings > Appointments |
| Book the same service again | Book again on a past appointment, when a service is linked |
| Request a pending consultation form link again | Appointments or Forms tab |
| Reschedule, cancel, accept counter-offers, or manage an individual booking card | The secure manage booking link from the confirmation email or SMS |
If a customer opens a manage booking page without the signed token from their confirmation message, OpenChair shows Invalid Access Link. Send the customer their original manage link again from the booking detail if they need to reschedule, cancel, or manage that specific booking.
Who can use this
| User | Access |
|---|---|
| Customer | Can sign in to their own venue-specific portal when their email exists on the venue's client record. |
| Owner or manager | Can help by updating the customer's email address, resending booking manage links, and checking booking or form state in the app. |
| Team | Can view and act on bookings according to normal staff permissions, but cannot sign in as the customer. |
Common mistakes
| Mistake | What to do instead |
|---|---|
| Treating My Bookings as the same as the manage booking link | Use My Bookings for a customer-wide portal. Use the confirmation manage link for one booking's reschedule, cancel, counter-offer, or saved-card action. |
| Expecting a sign-in email for an unknown address | Check the customer's email on their venue client record. OpenChair does not reveal unknown addresses from the public sign-in form. |
| Trying to change email from the portal | Ask the venue to update the email address on the customer record. The portal only edits name and mobile number. |
| Expecting customers to upload photos | Treatment photos in the portal are read-only. Staff capture and manage treatment photos from the operator-side customer or booking surfaces. |
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Customer says the sign-in email never arrived | Confirm the email on their client profile, ask them to check spam or junk, then have them request a new sign-in link. The link expires after 15 minutes. |
| Customer sees Invalid Access Link after tapping Manage booking | Send the signed manage booking link from the booking detail. The manage page requires the confirmation token. |
| No appointments appear | Check that the booking customer email matches the email used to sign in. My Bookings lists bookings by venue and customer email. |
| Forms tab is empty | No required consultation forms are linked to upcoming appointments, or the forms are already complete. |
| Payment tab cannot save a card | Confirm the venue has payments enabled. Card setup requires the venue's Stripe account to be connected and charges enabled. |
FAQ
What is My Bookings?
My Bookings is the customer portal at /your-slug/me. Returning customers can sign in and view their appointments, forms, treatment photos, saved card, and profile details for that venue.
How do customers sign in to My Bookings?
Customers open My bookings on the storefront, enter their email address to receive a 15-minute sign-in link, or use Google sign-in when available.
Is My Bookings the same as the manage booking link?

Can customers change their email address in My Bookings?
No. Customers can update their name and mobile number, but email address changes must be handled by the venue.
