OpenChair Pro starts at A$34.95 inc GST, NZ$24.95 or £19.95 per active venue, including the first bookable team member. Additional bookable members are A$20 inc GST, NZ$20 or £10, with monthly venue caps of A$199 inc GST, NZ$199 or £99. Pro card processing rates are Australia 1.8% + $0.30, New Zealand 2.5% + $0.30, and United Kingdom 2.0% + £0.20. OpenChair charges zero booking commission on bookings made through an OpenChair storefront. Card-processing fees still apply.

OpenChair supports hair salons, barbershops, beauty salons, nail studios, tattoo studios and day spas. Relevant workflows include Processing Gaps and colour records for hair, walk-in queues for barbers and nails, forms and patch tests for beauty, multi-session treatment pieces for tattoo, and bookable rooms, equipment and packages for wellness venues.
Do I need a separate website to take online bookings?+
No. Every venue can publish an OpenChair storefront with its services, team, work, reviews, live availability, policies and booking flow. Clients can book without creating an account. Pro adds richer design controls and can use a custom domain where configured. If you already have a website, you can embed the OpenChair booking flow instead.
What can OpenChair's AI do?+
On Pro, Smart Replies can answer eligible, high-confidence SMS enquiries automatically through a dedicated number in Australia or the United Kingdom and connected Instagram DMs where configured. Email and booking replies remain review-first. Complaints escalate, while low-confidence or safety-triggered replies move to Draft or escalation depending on the workflow.
Do you handle public holidays?+
Yes. Calendar Closures can import Australian, New Zealand and UK national public holidays in one tap. You can add state-specific holidays manually. If a closure affects bookings, you can cancel and notify clients, reassign them to a qualified team member, or leave them on the calendar with a flag. You can also set holiday surcharges by service.
Is there a mobile app for iPhone and Android?+
Yes. OpenChair runs on web, iPhone and Android. The mobile apps support day-to-day venue work, including calendar and booking management, client context, messages, reports and eligible Tap to Pay. Subscription purchase and management remain on the web.
Can I import my client data from another platform?+
Bring us the export from your current platform. OpenChair's founders can check its fields and quality, then confirm what migration help is available before you commit. Guided onboarding is included at no extra charge. Any broader migration work is agreed separately.
