You can now run an offer through OpenChair with its own discount code and rules. This week’s web update adds codes for online booking and checkout, plus campaign-linked redemptions and a Discounts report on Pro. We’ve also added billing history for your subscription invoices and Wallet top-ups.
Set the services and limits for your discount code#
Owners and managers can create a percentage or fixed-amount discount, choose whether it applies to online booking or checkout, and restrict it to selected services. Minimum spend and usage caps give the offer defined limits.
For example, a barbershop could create a beard-trim offer restricted to that service, rather than discounting the whole menu. The same code can be used at checkout when a client books through reception, provided checkout is one of its allowed channels.
On Pro, you can also restrict a code to an existing saved client audience. OpenChair checks the client against that saved list when they redeem the code.
Each redemption is recorded, and the receipt shows the code and the amount taken off. Your team can see which offer was applied when reviewing the sale.
Connect the campaign to recorded redemptions#
In the Pro campaign builder, you can now attach an active discount code or create one while preparing the campaign. Include the code in the message and use a booking link that carries it into the booking flow.
A hair salon promoting blow-dries can use this to connect its email offer to recorded code use. Open the campaign detail afterwards to review the redemptions attributed to that campaign. Campaigns support email and, in Australia and the UK, SMS where configured.
For a wider view, open the Pro Discounts report. Filter by code, service, staff member, channel or status to review the original value, discount amount and value after discount. Cancelled bookings and voided orders stay in the history but do not contribute to those totals.
These records show where discounts were used and how much was taken off. They do not establish how many extra bookings the offer caused or how much profit it made.
Check booking extras before sharing the offer#
Before promoting a service, check the extras clients may need. OpenChair’s existing online booking flow presents linked add-ons after the client chooses their main service and before they choose a time.
For a nail salon, gel removal or nail art can be linked to a manicure, with each extra’s price and duration shown. Selected extras become separate booking lines and contribute to the total appointment time and price. Reception can review the main service and the chosen extras together in the appointment record.
Find your subscription invoices and Wallet receipts#
Billing history in the web app now brings OpenChair subscription invoices and Wallet top-up receipts into one view. Open billing settings to find the relevant record, follow its receipt link or download an available subscription invoice PDF.
These are records of your salon’s OpenChair costs, separate from invoices you send to clients. A Wallet top-up receipt also stays distinct from your subscription invoice, so you can identify the two when reviewing expenses.
We’ve also clarified the notices owners see for an ending trial, an overdue subscription or a failed subscription payment. For an active Pro subscription, the existing Next Invoice Estimate shows the upcoming bill and any mid-cycle bookable-team adjustments.
