New in OpenChair: multi-service bookings and room scheduling | 15–31 March 2026
Book several services together, check room availability and let clients use existing prepaid packages online in OpenChair’s late-March update.

You can now select several services in OpenChair’s booking form and review their combined time and price before saving. This fortnight’s web update also improves room allocation, gives clients more detail about booking extras and lets them apply an eligible prepaid package when booking online.
Put all the services into one appointment#
The updated booking form lets your team select several services from the menu, with the chosen services visible together. Its summary shows the total time and price, and the booking button tells you which detail is still missing, such as a service, time or client.
For a barbershop, reception can select a haircut and beard trim together rather than record the trim as a note against a haircut appointment. A waxing studio can put several requested areas into the same booking. The selected work contributes to the appointment’s time and price before it goes into the diary.
The client field now handles both an existing-client search and a new name, so reception can start either booking without switching to a separate walk-in input.
Check the room as well as the therapist#
On Pro, resource scheduling now gives you more control over how OpenChair assigns rooms, chairs and equipment. In Resources, group interchangeable rooms into a category such as Treatment Rooms. In the service setup, require either a particular room or an available room from that category.
Consider a beauty studio with four therapists and two treatment rooms, each set up for one client at a time. If both rooms are occupied, another therapist being free is not enough to fit in a room-dependent service. The booking needs suitable staff and a room available for the required time.
OpenChair checks configured resource requirements when offering times, creating bookings and moving appointments. The assigned resource appears with the booking details. For an eligible category-based assignment, your team can change it to another suitable, available resource. A room fixed in the service setup stays tied to that requirement.
Clients still choose the service. Your resource setup determines which room or equipment can support it, without asking them to understand the studio’s room plan.

Explain an extra before the client adds it#
Linked add-ons now show their description alongside the name, extra time and price in online booking. Clients can select or remove an extra from the same card before continuing.
A nail salon could explain what its nail-art option includes alongside a manicure. The client sees what they are adding, and the selected extra contributes its configured time and price to the appointment.
On Pro, OpenChair can also suggest add-on links from services clients have frequently booked together. Open the main service and choose Find suggested add-ons to review the patterns in your booking history. Select Link for a relevant suggestion or dismiss it. Suggestions depend on enough recorded bookings; they do not change your menu until you apply them.
Let clients use an existing service pack online#
We’ve added online redemption for eligible prepaid packages at Pro venues. Clients signed into your booking page can choose Apply a package when an active, unexpired package matches the main service.
For example, a returning client booking a blow-dry can use a session from an existing blow-dry pack. The picker shows the sessions remaining and previews how many will be left after that booking. The confirmation identifies the applied package, and clients can also review their package balances in My Bookings.
This online selection supports eligible single-service packs. Multi-service prepaid combos are not included in the picker. The client still chooses an available appointment time; owning a pack does not reserve future visits.
