What OpenChair features use Sparks?

Sparks are consumed by priced tasks such as OpenChair Assistant turns and action drafts, Style Match recommendations, AI-generated campaign copy, form generation and Intelligence analysis. Support chats, inbox summaries and suggested replies, photo validation, scheduling, payments and reminders do not consume Sparks.

Do unused Sparks expire?

Included Sparks reset monthly and unused included Sparks do not carry over. Wallet top-up balance carries forward until used, subject to the applicable account terms.

What happens if I run out of Sparks?

If your included Spark allocation is exhausted, AI features continue to work but draw from your Wallet balance at the standard rate. You can set up auto top-up on your Wallet to ensure there is always a balance available, or manually add funds when needed. You can also disable specific AI features if you prefer to limit Spark consumption.

Sparks are OpenChair's AI credit unit. One Spark equals one cent of AI compute, used to power features like OpenChair Assistant, Style Match, and generative marketing copy.

Sparks are the unit of AI credit used for OpenChair's billable AI tasks. One Spark equals one cent. Task prices are shown before an action; support conversations, inbox assistance, safety checks and internal Backroom work do not consume Sparks.

Sparks are designed to make AI usage transparent. Rather than charging a flat fee for AI features or limiting them opaquely, Sparks show you exactly how much AI compute each action consumes and how much of your allocation remains.

Pro venues receive 500 included Sparks per billable bookable team member each monthly subscription-anniversary period, pooled at venue level up to 5,000. Non-bookable access users do not increase the allowance, and unused included Sparks expire at reset.

Free plan venues pay for Sparks as needed (PAYG) from their Wallet balance. There is no monthly allocation on the Free plan. Sparks can also be purchased top-up via Wallet on Pro if the included allocation is exceeded — useful for venues running high-volume Assistant, Smart Replies, or campaign-generation workflows.

The cost of individual Spark-consuming actions varies: a brief AI suggested reply consumes a small number of Sparks, while longer Assistant sessions, campaign generation, and richer analysis consume more. The Sparks dashboard in your account shows usage by feature type, so you can see exactly where your allocation is going.
