Account Profile And Preferences
Your account profile controls how you appear in OpenChair and which account-level preferences apply to you.
Where to find it. Web: Settings -> Profile. Mobile: Settings -> Profile.
TL;DR
- Update Display name and Profile photo from Profile.
- Web can start an email change by sending a verification link.
- Mobile Profile also includes appearance, notifications, and calendar sync.
- Web Profile links to Manage notifications for account notifications.
- Display density is web-only and switches between comfortable and compact spacing.
- These are user account settings, separate from venue identity and client notification settings.
Profile On Web
The web Profile page is titled Profile with the description Your name, photo and how you appear across the venue.
It includes:
- Personal information
- Profile photo
- Display name
- Email address
- Account notifications
- Display density
Display name saves automatically after a short pause. If saving fails, OpenChair shows Profile not saved with Save again.
Change Email Address
To start an email change on web:
- Open Settings -> Profile.
- In Email address, select the pencil icon.
- Enter New email address.
- Select Send verification.
- Open the verification link sent to the new email address.
The old email remains active until the new address is verified.
Profile On Mobile
The mobile Profile screen is titled Profile with the description Your name, photo, notifications, calendar sync, and how you appear across the venue.
It includes:
- profile name and photo
- Appearance
- account notifications
- calendar sync
Mobile can update the profile name and photo. Email changes are handled on web.
Account Notifications
Account notifications are alerts for the signed-in team member. They are separate from client reminders, confirmations, campaigns, and automations.
On web, the Profile page shows Account notifications with Manage notifications. The dedicated notifications page controls account notification preferences.
On mobile, Profile includes the notification settings content directly.

Display Density
The web Profile page includes Display density.

Compact mode is useful on large monitors or for users who prefer denser tables and panels.
Marketing pages and the customer storefront always use comfortable spacing.
If saving fails, OpenChair shows Density preference not saved with a retry action.
Appearance On Mobile
Mobile Profile includes Appearance with Light, Dark, and System.
This controls the mobile app theme only.
FAQ
Where is my account profile?
On web, open Settings then Profile. On mobile, open Profile from Settings.
Can I change my email address?
On web, use the email address section in Profile and select the pencil icon. OpenChair sends a verification link to the new email address.
What is display density?
Display density is a web preference. Compact mode tightens card and panel padding so more rows fit on screen. Storefront and marketing pages are not affected.
Are account notifications the same as client reminders?
No. Account notifications are alerts for the signed-in team member. Client reminders, confirmations, campaigns, and automations are managed separately.
