Writing Campaign Messages With AI
Use OpenChair AI to generate campaign copy for email and SMS from the campaign composer.
Where to find it - Web: Sidebar -> Campaigns -> Create Campaign -> Write with AI or AI Draft.

Each AI generation costs 1 Spark.
How it works
- Open Campaigns and start a new email or SMS campaign.
- Click Write with AI for email or AI Draft for SMS.
- Enter the campaign goal or offer.
- Review the generated options.
- Apply the draft, edit it if needed, then send or schedule the campaign.
AI uses your audience and campaign context to produce more relevant copy, but you should still review it before sending.
Refining drafts
Once the AI generates a draft, you can refine it without starting from scratch:
- Preset refines appear as one-tap chips: "Make shorter", "More casual", "More urgent", "Add discount mention", "Change tone"
- Each refine costs 1 additional Spark
- Hard cap of 3 refines per draft — after that, discard and re-generate
- Refines respect your brand voice persona and avoid-list
AI slop sanitisation
Generated copy passes through a deterministic post-processor that strips common AI tells:
- Em dashes (—) converted to commas or periods
- "Delve", "leverage", "seamless", "robust", "unlock" replaced with plain alternatives
- Smart quotes converted to plain
- Excess hedging tightened
Your venue's brand voice persona still drives the underlying tone — the sanitiser just cleans up the trailing patterns AI models default to.

How do I use AI to write a campaign message?
Open Campaigns and start a new email or SMS campaign. Click Write with AI (email) or AI Draft (SMS), enter your campaign goal or offer, then review and apply the generated copy. Edit the draft before sending.
How much does AI campaign copy generation cost?
Each AI generation costs 1 Spark (1 cent). Sparks are drawn from your included monthly allowance first, then from your prepaid wallet. See Understanding Spark (AI Credits) for allowance details.
Why is the AI draft option missing for SMS?
SMS campaigns require a Pro subscription, a venue in Australia or the United Kingdom, and a provisioned dedicated phone number. Check all three in Settings → SMS & Messaging.
