Payment Method Mix Report
Payment Method Mix helps owners and managers understand how clients paid and gives them a clear route into till reconciliation.
Where to find it. Web: Reports -> Payment Method Mix. Mobile: Reports -> Payment Method Mix.
What It Includes
- recorded payments and refunds in the selected venue-local ledger-date period
- cash, Stripe Terminal, Tap to Pay, online, gift-card, and external-card tenders
- gross payments, recorded refunds, and net payments
- gross payment-value mix by tender
- staff-attributed payment-count mix
Reauthorisations, forfeits, failed attempts, and transactions outside the selected period are excluded. Legacy order-linked transactions remain included when their transaction venue snapshot is unavailable.
How The Numbers Work
Gross payments add recorded payment ledger entries. Recorded refunds add refund ledger entries. Net payments subtract refunds from gross payments.
Method percentages divide each tender's gross payment value by gross payment value across all tenders. Refunds do not reduce that denominator.
The staff split is different: it divides each tender's attributed payment count by that team member's total attributed payment count. It does not compare payment value, and payments without staff attribution are excluded.
Empty And Partial States
- No payment activity in this period means there are no recorded payments or refunds in the selected range.
- A refund-only period remains visible, but has no gross payment mix.
- If staff attribution cannot load, method totals remain visible with a separate warning.
Use Open till close to reconcile cash and terminal records.
