Service Import Requests
TL;DR
- Use Import from another platform to send a booking page to support.
- The URL must start with
https://. - Supported detection includes Fresha, Timely, Vagaro, Square, and Shortcuts.
- Duplicate active requests are detected instead of creating another request.
- The confirmation says support will import your services within two business days.
Service import requests are for venues that already have a live booking page elsewhere. Instead of scraping services automatically, OpenChair records the request and sends it to the support queue.
Submit an import request
- Open Services.
- Choose Import from your current system from the empty service-menu setup, or open the import option from the Services import modal.
- Enter the Current booking page URL.
- Select Send import request.
The field placeholder is https://fresha.com/your-salon. The request accepts public HTTPS booking pages.
If OpenChair recognises the platform, the form shows a detected platform message such as Fresha detected.
What happens after sending
OpenChair records the request, alerts support, and shows a confirmation:
Import request sent. Our support team will import your services within 2 business days.
If the same active URL has already been submitted for the venue, OpenChair shows Import request already sent. instead of creating a duplicate.
Active requests can have these statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| submitted | Support has received the request. |
| in progress | Support is working on the import. |
| blocked | Support needs something resolved before continuing. |
Completed requests no longer count as active duplicates.
Keep setting up while support imports
You do not need to wait on the import request. The service setup panel lets you continue with:
- Continue with AI suggestions.
- Browse templates.
- Add manually.
Use these options if you want a starter menu while support prepares the final import.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Enter a valid booking page URL starting with https://. appears | Check the URL starts with https:// and points to a public booking page. |
| Request not sent appears | Retry from the error panel. The URL stays in the field. |
| Import request already sent. appears | The venue already has an active request for that URL. Wait for support or check the current request status. |
| Imported services are not visible yet | Support import is handled outside the form. The confirmation target is within two business days. |
